Save the World Club
I recently dug out the video clips from a visit i made to the Save the World Club at the Monkey House in 2008. This community scrap-store and studio provided the Kingston area with materials and inspiration for a number of years.
I first met Des Kay at the Big Green Gathering / Kingston Green Fair and was always impressed with his showmanship and keen knowledge sharing skills. When I filmed this, I had intended to capture the other half of the workshop, where the bike bits and solar power projects were, as well as show Des in action putting the scrap to use. Sadly that shoot didn't happen and the project was shelved. More recently Des reminded me that i did have something in my archive and that he had since vacated the property and had no digital memory of the work done there. I'm so pleased that i kept the rushes. Enjoy this short film and to find out more info visit http://www.professorkayoss.co.uk/ or http://savetheworldclub.org/
