2017 Pre-work:

·         Read and study your Merit Badge Book

·         Download worksheet from and complete as best you can

·         Do requirement 6 in advance and bring in a visual aid for requirement 3.

If you have participated on an FLL or other team, you may report on that for 6a. You may also attend a tournament for 6a (see for possible local tournaments). Alternately, you can research three tournaments for 6b and report on them. - During the MB Expo class, we will go over information for requirements 1, 2, 3, and 7. However, you can get much of this information from the pamphlet and have it ready on the MB workbook for discussion. - Look over the missions on page 32.

The merit badge counselors will help you and your partner select a mission that will fulfill the requirements and your ability. You will be programming a Lego Mindstorm with NXT programming environment with a partner. Each team will be provided with a laptop containing the NXT software and a Lego Mindstorm kit.

Note that the kits and the computer cannot go home with scouts. After the field trip on the second Saturday, we will go to All Saints Chelmsford and will work on the projects.
