Starting from April 2014, MCLA Department of Mathematics and Math Club hold an annual High School Math Tournament on the MCLA campus, to foster the mathematical education in North Adams-Massachusetts and neighboring areas. The tournament consists of three challenging rounds: multiple choice, written problems, and tie break round.
The top two teams will get cash prizes, $150, $100. There will be also a small prize ($50 prize) for the top students in the tournament.
The multiple choice round will consist of 20 problems. 10 points will be awarded for each correct answer.
The written test will consist of 02 problems of increasing difficulty, from relatively easy to very hard. 25 points will be awarded for each correct answer, 5 points for each question left unanswered, and 0 point for each incorrect answer.
The final round (tie breaker round) will be among teams who have the same score on the first two rounds. This round consists of 01 problem given in 5 minutes
No calculators will be allowed in any of the rounds. The individual winners will be determined on the basis of the first two rounds, and all two rounds will count towards the team competition.

8:00-8:45 Registration
9:00-10:30 Multiple choice
10:40-11:40 Written test - team round
11:45-:1:30 Lunch + break + talks given by MCLA math students
1:30-1:45 Tie break round
1:50 -2:30 Award ceremony
