Medical Trauma Therapy

Have you or a loved one had a medical trauma?

I can help!

Medical trauma is a set of responses "to pain, injury, serious illness, medical procedures, and invasive or frightening treatment experiences. These responses may include symptoms of arousal, re-experiencing, and/or avoidance. They may vary in intensity, are related to the subjective experience of the event, and can become disruptive to functioning." -- The National Child Traumatic Stress Network

Medical trauma happens to not only the patient but their loved ones, family members, friends, colleagues, and medical professionals.

I have had my own experience of medical trauma, and it is one of my specialties to treat. I use talk therapy as well as Internal Family Systems and EMDR to help people and their loved ones heal this form of trauma.
