This is the first announcement for the 22nd Bay Area Discrete Math Day (BADMath Day), which will take place at San Francisco State University on Saturday, April 30. BADMath Day is a one-day conference that takes place every six months and features a range of talks on topics in discrete mathematics that aim to be especially appealing and accessible to students. The website for this conference is at http://math.sfsu.edu/badmath/2011.spring/index.html . As speakers we are happy to have:
Anton Dochtermann, Stanford University
Daniel Erman, Stanford University
Steven Klee, University of California, Davis
Jeffrey C. Lagarias, University of Michigan / MSRI
Dan Romik, University of California, Davis
Kelli Talaska, University of California, Berkeley
Though BADMath Day has no registration fee, we still need you to register by Friday, April 15 so that we will know how
much food to order for (free!) lunch and coffee during the conference. There will also be a conference dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Please email Dr. Hsu (Tim.Hsu@sjsu.edu) if you are planning to attend.
