Course Description and Grading Breakdown

Ma 8 is a three-hour per week hands on class for those students in Ma 1 needing extra practice in problem solving in calculus. Grading will be solely attendance based.

The course doesn't have a designated textbook. I will be posting problems done in class, which will be based on the material covered in Math 1a. Another material source is the lecture notes written by Seunghee Ye for last years course.

Course Policies
Ma 8 is a 3 unit Pass/Fail course. There will be no homework or exams for this course. The final grade (of P or F) will depend solely on attendance (which will be taken in class). Absences will not be excused without a letter from the Infirmary or from the Dean (or Associate Dean).
