This is the homepage of Professor Robin Mason ORB.

I am the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) at the University of Birmingham: a post I took up in April 2016. I have responsibility for strategic oversight and delivery of the University’s international profile and activities.

Before that, I was Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean University of Exeter Business School since August 2015, and Dean since April 2011, having moved to Exeter in 2009.

I am interested in all kinds of microeconomics, applied and theory; especially game theory, the economics of information and industrial organization. My Erdös number is 4.

I am also the Chair of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK, the FCDO-sponsored scholarship scheme for students from the Commonwealth (and particular lower-income countries) to study in the UK. I am a decision-making member of the UK's Competition Appeal Tribunal. (Previously, I was a decision-making member of the Competition and Markets Authority/Competition Commission, 2009-2017, and the financial regulators the Financial Conduct Authority and the Payment Systems Regulator.)

The link to research (on the left) describes some of the projects that I am have worked on. The link to papers leads you to papers (naturally enough).
