Christmas Party

The Clarendon Lodge Christmas party took place on Sunday in the Trowbridge Masonic Hall, over 65 people attended from both the Clarendon and Concord Lodges supported by family and friends. The catering was supplied by Vicky Moore who laid on a fantastic spread of fruit starter, roast turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings, with Christmas pudding, cheese board, chocolates and minces pies with tea or coffee to wash it all down.

A bar was arranged and this was manned by Brian Weston and Brian Luckwell who served the drinks to all present, the afternoon had been organised by Graham Greenhill who introduced everyone to the event and informed them that a raffle would take place with all profits from the meal being donated to the upkeep of the Trowbridge masonic hall. All the raffle prizes  had been donated by those attending the afternoon meal and Mark Bayley and David Rose sold the raffle tickets and presented the prizes.  The total amount raised during the event was £510.

Mike Lawrence, the Clarendon Worshipful Master stood and gave the thanks of all present to Graham Greenhill who has been running the Christmas meal for over 14 years.

Skittles Night

The Clarendon Lodge recently hosted the international Skittles evening on 29th October 2011 in the Busters Club in Trowbridge which involved a challenge by its Mother Lodge, Concord Lodge No 632, for the inter lodge skittles trophy which Clarendon Lodge has held for the last two years, over 66 lodge members, partners and friends turned up on a cold Saturday evening in October for the event.

The two lodges formed opposing teams and battle commenced with Concord Lodge taking a narrow lead in the first round, but a determined fight back by the Clarendon Lodge permitted a convincing win by 262 to 247 points allowing Clarendon Lodge to retain the trophy for another year (3 years now and counting)!

The evening then continued with a veritable feast provided by the Clarendon Lodge member and a raffle with many prizes, the total raised by both Lodges was £410 which was donated to victim support, we look forward to next year’s event and to continue with our winning streak!

The annual BBQ was held on the 02nd July 2011 at the Worshipful Masters house in Bradford on Avon in the afternoon, over 60 members, partners and friends attended the afternoon and enjoyed a blistering hot afternoon and also a delicious alfresco lunch cooked by WBros Mark Bayley, Willie Fergus and Bro Derek Phillips. The afternoon was rounded of with a raffle in support of Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Riding for the Disabled, a princely sum of £400 was raised during the afternoon and split between these two charities.
