Masconomet's Global Education Program

Current Masconomet students have the opportunity to graduate with a Global Diploma. The program is a type of "pre-major" for students who would like to pursue a career in Global Affairs.

Global Education provides students with the skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary to participate in an increasingly interdependent world. Through immersion and the study of culture, foreign language, multicultural and international issues, students acquire skills and perspectives that equip them to become life-long, active participants in our global community, while also demonstrating an appreciation of cultural diversity and global responsibility.

Global Diploma Requirements

  • Earned credits in three categories of Global Economics & Research, Global Cultural Literacy, and Global Ethics

  • Completion of a minimum of 30 hours of multicultural community service (programs serving other cultures/ethnicities)
