Research

I am interested in the coevolution of the Earth and life and in the oceanic biogeochemical cycle in Earth's history. I have studied the environmental changes related to the end-Permian mass extinction. My current research interests are the fluid-rock interactions in seafloor hydrothermal systems in the modern oceans and the evolution of the C-N-S cycles in the Precambrian ocean/atmosphere system.
