Kindermusik is an early childhood music and movement program based on the beliefs that every child is musical,

every parent is the child's most important teacher, the home is the most important place for learning to take root and grow,

and that based on research, music nurtures a child's cognitive, emotional, social, language and physical development.

About the Teacher:
Mary Lou Hulan has a Bachelor of Music (Piano) and a Bachelor of Music Education from Acadia University. She taught music in the public school system from grades Kindergarten to 13, but handed in her baton to establish her own music studio.  She is an experienced piano teacher, band and choir director and accompanist, and is involved with musical theatre, having performed with Orpheus Musical Theatre, Lakeside Players, and Suzart Productions.  Mary Lou's dynamic teaching style and love of music combine to create an enjoyable musical experience for her students. Mary Lou has been teaching Kindermusik for 15 years.

FAQ: How early should I register for KM classes?
A: THE CITY OF OTTAWA NOW CANCELS PROGRAMS ONE WEEK PRIOR TO START DATE IF CLASS DOESN'T MEET MINIMUMS!  So please register at least 1 WEEK PRIOR, or your class may be cancelled! 
Ideally, I would ask you to register as early as possible to avoid disappointment in not getting your first choice of class.  Popular classes do fill, and there's no way to predict which ones fill first.  Please, please register at least 2 weeks before the start of the program. That allows me to order materials in time for the program, and if a program is showing low registration at 2 weeks, it indicates to me which programs require my attention for more help in making sure they run. I really hate to disappoint families!!

PLEASE REGISTER 48 HOURS PRIOR TO CLASS SO THAT YOUR INSTRUCTOR CAN ADEQUATELY PREPARE FOR THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN HER CLASS!!

CAMP KINDERMUSIK '11 was a huge success! 
14 children age 3-6 years enjoyed two weeks of fun 
and circus play with myself, and my daughter, who was happy to be our youth volunteer for the 2 weeks.  We had great feedback from parents and students alike, and look forward to offering a new camp theme next summer!
