My name is Martyna Molak and I study ancient DNA*.

Currently I am exploring genetic landscape of Polish population through time using ancient DNA at the Laboratory of Paleogenetics and Conservation Genetics at the Centre of New Technologies, University of Warsaw.

I have also worked with ancient DNA popluation genetics of pre-Columbian Indians and explored theoretical framework for ancient DNA studies - including DNA damage models, calibrating molecular clocks and reconstructing demographic histories of populations using ancient DNA, and investigated time-dependent biases in evolutionary rate estimation.
