"All art is a vision penetrating the illusions of reality."  -Ansel Adams

In the fall of 2007, I began an ongoing personal project called "Forgotten: Decrepit Remains.

The idea behind this project was to find the beauty in abandoned buildings that were otherwise left to decay in the elements.

I set certain guidelines that I had to follow while photographing the project:

1. The photographs must be taken from the street view. I must not tresspass on the property in order to take a photograph.

2. The buldings must not have any boarded up windows or doors, as this would mean that the previous owner cared enough about the building to attempt to protect it from the elements.

3. The buildings must not show any visible fire damage, as this would mean that the building was not abandoned by choice.
