Please be aware that this is an original, one of a kind, handmade work of art. A portrait painting of a loved one is the best way to honor our connection to that person. Each painting is unique as I strive to capture the timeless moments, unique expressions and personality of each person in a portrait using bright colors and expressive brushstrokes. There are many custom portrait painters on Etsy, most of them make a photocopy transfer of your photo or digitally retouch your photo instead of painting it. This is a way of delivering a quickly made portrait that can be done cheaply, but it is not the same as a portrait drawn or painted with traditional materials. This is why I cannot compete on price, but what you receive is a gallery quality product of a greater lasting value.

ORDER PROCESS
The process starts with placing an order on my Etsy site. If you have some essential questions that you need to be answered before making a decision to place an order, I’m always available for a free consultation. You can email or message me.
After you place your order, message or email the following to mgoulart79@yahoo.com: 1 - 3 reference photos and any additional thoughts on what you are hoping for from your commission (specific color or such).
In usual It takes about 4-5 weeks for the painting to be ready depending on the complexity and scale of the painting.
As soon as the portrait is ready, I will send you a digital image for your approval. If there is anything you would like me to add or change, I would be happy to do so at that time. Any extensive edits (as judged extensive by the artist) beyond that are subject to a 20% additional fee.
After your final approval I add the archival varnish and let it dry for a few more days. Then I will package the work professionally, and ship it free - U.S. only. International shipping rates apply depending on the destination. Painting ships ready to hang, and enjoy for a lifetime.

WHICH PHOTOS CAN WORK
Photos that are in close proximity to the subject with a good lighting help me to capture the individual's features accurately. A clear photo is very important for the best portrait possible! If you are unsure, please feel free to send me your photos for consideration. I can help you decide. Sending multiple photos helps to give me an idea about the subject's looks and personality.
