Academic Star: 
Given monthly - One student from each homeroom is selected for significant academic improvement or achievement.  Academic stars are announced to the Lower School over the intercom.
Lower School Citizen of the Month: 
Given monthly - One student from each homeroom is selected for displaying good citizenship in the classroom and/or school.  Citizens of the Month are announced to the Lower School over the intercom.
Lower School Gold Slips: 
Gold slips are given to students that are “caught being good” and to reward other positive behaviors noticed by the staff.  Gold slips are placed in the treasure chest in the Lower School office and winning slips are drawn approximately once per month to receive prizes.  Gold slip winners are announced to the Lower School over the intercom.
Upper School Gold Slips: 
Gold slips are given to 5th and 6th graders who are "caught being good/kind/helpful." The slips are placed in a treasure chest in the Upper Office and names are chosen every 2-3 weeks for small prizes. The names are announced on the intercom.
Marsh S.T.A.R.S. - Stand  Together As Role-model Students
Twice each school year, each seventh and eighth grade teacher selects one student who exemplifies the best of Marsh Grammar School:
·      Effort
·      Attitude
·      Respect
·      Responsibility
They get a certificate and a prize ......last year it was an itunes gift card.
20+ Book Club - Grades 5-8
Read 20 or more books throughout the school year and complete a book fomr provided by your teacher for
each book.  Members get a day out of school and go out on a field trip at the end of the year.
  Guidelines
  - Students must bring the book to school for their teacher to see
  - Books must be at least 100 pages and at your reading level
  - No picture books
  - Read and finish the book
  - Fill out a book form, at home, provided by your teacher and get it signed by a parent
  - Fill out the 20+ Book Log, also provided by your teacher
  - Turn both the book form and book log into your teacher
Student Council
The Student Council s for students in grades 5-8.  Student Council elections are held in September and students serve for one school year.   It is a governmental school body. Each homeroom votes for a Representative and an Alternate. These student leaders attend one meeting a month after school and participate in leadership and school spirit roles during the school year.
National Junior Honor Society
Students are invited to apply for membership based on their academic standing. They are selected by a committee of faculty from the school.  NJHS is new to the Marsh and in its second full year. It is for students in grades 7 & 8 only. Students are invited based on their academics to apply to be a part of this organization. These students also attend one meeting a month and participate in multiple volunteer and civic activities throughout the school year.
Yearbook
The yearbook is open to students in grade 8 only. Students are selected based on a letter of intent. Students that participate in yearbook are responsible to create a book of memories from the school year.
