The Marlborough Township Police Department has obtained Naloxone (Narcan) autoinjectors
which can be administered to overdose victims providing life-saving assistance
in a medical emergency. Naloxone is a medication used to counter the effects of
opioids (such as pain medications or heroin). It is designed to reverse the depression of
the central nervous system, respiratory system, and hypotension. Funding for this
program is provided by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office working with
the Montgomery County Overdose Task Force. Training and supplies provided to our
agency by the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.
