Grant Announcement

Grant Announcement  - Marlborough Township, was awarded a $40,000 Grant by DCNR Bureau of Recreation and Conservation for the Rehabilitation of Finland Road Park.  The the renovations and improvements will include renovation of pedestrian walkway and parking area; construction of pavilion; installation of play equipment with required safety surfacing; ADA access, landscaping, project sign and other related site improvements.

Naloxone Program Underway and Showing Potential Life-Saving Results

The Marlborough Township Police Department has obtained Naloxone (Narcan) autoinjectors
which can be administered to overdose victims providing life-saving assistance
in a medical emergency. Naloxone is a medication used to counter the effects of
opioids (such as pain medications or heroin). It is designed to reverse the depression of
the central nervous system, respiratory system, and hypotension. Funding for this
program is provided by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office working with
the Montgomery County Overdose Task Force. Training and supplies provided to our
agency by the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.

Pest Alert Spotted Lanternfly - This invasive pest has been discovered in the local area.  It is native to China, India, Vietnam and Korea where it has become a major pest.  The insect attacks many hosts including grape, apple, stone fruits trees.  Early detection is vital for the protection of Pennsylvania businesses and agriculture.  Please follow the link to see the species and find out what can be done.

Commercial and Community Adaptation Plan

The Marlborough Township Commercial and Community Adaptation Plan also known as CCAP is being reviewed for adoption.  This plans serves as the foundation of Marlborough's future planning efforts.  The CCAP works towards achieving visions and creates a framework of goals to help Marlborough Township adapt to and thrive, in a changing economic climate.  Additionally the plan creates a menu of action items that can be pursed to achieve Marlborough's vision and goals when the opportunities or priorities arise.  To read the complete draft plan click here.
