How a tree stump is removed…
After a tree is cut down, the property owner is often left to deal with the stump that is left behind. This is where we come in. Our experienced stump technicians use a process called “stump grinding” to extract the stump left behind by the arborist. We use a top of the line, self-propelled grinders which “chew up” the stumps and shred them into small woodchips.
The stump is ground down to 6 – 8 inches below ground. The wood chips left behind can be used to fill in the hole where the stump used to be which, in time, will slowly decompose and help fertilize the ground. Stump grinding is the fastest and the most efficient way to go about removing a tree stump.
