Parent Update: Week Ending 6/14/2018

Mr. Auguste:  

This week Class 7-2reviewed for our last quarterly.

Classes 8-2 and 8-5 also reviewed for our last quarterly. 

Ms. Hanson: 

Classes 7-6, 7-7, and 7-9, will be finishing the year by reading the play A Raisin in the Sun and completing mini writing tasks related to the text. Students did an amazing job on the Younger family budget challenge.  

Ms. Hanley: 

Students in 6-11, 6-14 and 6-15 finished the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry and are working on their culminating task: creating a scrapbook of the Logan family. The ELA Quarterly will be on June 19th. 

Ms. Cucos: 

Class 7-17 wrapped up WWII, mastered the distributive property and reflected on their accomplishments for the past school year.

Check out our summer reading challenge. Students who join will start off the new school year with 40 PBIS Tickets. Summer Reading packets will be distributed the last week of school. In the meanwhile, check out our Summer Reading page!

There are many reading suggestions and other summer information.

Mr. Gamsey: 

The students have learned what makes a living thing "living".  They are about to learn how all living things rely on other living things for survival.  Over the next couple of weeks, the students will discover how populations interact within an ecosystem.  

Mrs. Maslow: 

My 6th graders are learning about how organisms interact with each other and depend upon each other for survival in an ecosystem. Students took the 6th grade Science Quarterly on June 12th and grades have been posted on Pupil Path.
