Parent Update: Week Ending 2/15/2018

Ms. Casey: 
My classes are deconstructing the trial in To Kill a Mockingbird and comparing it to the Scottsboro boys and Emmett Till.   

Ms. Cucos: 
Class 7-17 practiced operations with fractions, pretended they were living during the Great Depression by writing letters for help to Mrs. Roosevelt and began learning about American imperialism.

Mr. Devito: 
My 6th Graders began the unit on Hinduism. 
My 7th Graders analyzed the key amendments in the Bill of Rights.  

Ms. Kieran: 
My classes are reading Part 2 of To Kill a Mockingbird! 

Ms. Maslow: 
My classes finished the Unit of Study on Thermal Energy. Vacation homework was given out and it is due back on Monday 2/26.

Ms. Traiman: Class 8-12 
In the book To Kill a Mockingbird we finished Part 1 (Ch. 11) and examined the true meaning of courage based on the character Atticus.

In math the  7th graders learned expressions and equations (Mod. 6), and the 8th graders solved linear equations in Module 7.
