Club Name: Robotics

Description: Students will participate and prepare for the international FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL) tournament. FLL involves 3 components... research, designing/programming a robot out of LEGO pieces, and Core Values (teamwork and spirit). The robot must complete as many specific missions as possible in 2-1/2 minutes. Additionally, we participate in the U.S. Navy's underwater robotics program called, SeaPerch. Students will build an underwater robot that will accomplish the tasks of an underwater obstacle course.
Who is Eligible? 7th and 8th grade students who are recommended by their 6th grade science teachers

Club Name: C.H.A.M.P.S Volleyball Program

Advisor: Donna Morgan Coach


Description: In the Volleyball program students interested must try out to be in the program. These

 students must have intermediate level of skills in volleyball. In this program students will participate in varrious level of volleyball drills, tournament competions that will prepare them for the competitve Middle School Volleyball Le

ague in the winter session. Only 15 students are picked to play on the Marine Park Volleyball team. During this session the team will play against other skills in Brooklyn Division. Last year Marine Parks Volleyball team was the best school undefeated and played in the semi-finals againt Queens Divison. We lost by three points but our team was proud how well we did.

Club Name: ELLs support
Advisor: Ms. O'Connell
Description: The program is designed to support students learning English as a New Language. The emphasis of the program will be on reading/math and homework support with technology enrichment opportunities. Students will receive a snack after school. First, students will report to a half an hour literature/technology enrichment class. Next, they will have homework assistance and then work on either math or reading lessons to help them improve in that area. After the academic hour, students will be presented with an enrichment class focused on schools skills curriculum.
Who is Eligible? Students designated as English Language Learners (ELLs) and former ELLs.

Club Name: Builders Club
