Title: Ubuntu
Materials: installation of stainless steel mesh with glass fibre. ( 500 x 500 x 50 cm.)
The inspiration for this installation came from the South-African philosophy Ubuntu which involves a way of inclusive thinking of interconnectedness and aimed to consensus. Nelson Mandela called Ubuntu the core of his inclusive thoughts. My installation is about equality of all people around the world, regardless of colour, gender or religion. I placed triangular elements in a circle, just like a meeting where all people are equal, where everyone can give in a respectful way give their opinion,  In this way, I emphasized that communication-based on equality and respect is the only way to get to know each other and find new ways for a future together.
