The frequentist non-frequentist debate and the (mis)use of p-values

I have just been following the ongoing debate on this matter and was made aware of some recent papers and events that are of interest in this context

- A paper advocating the (clever and appropriate) use of p-values

- A journal (Basic and Applied Social Psychology) that bans the use of p-values altogether (LINK)

- Some reactions in the literature (Nature News and Journal of Ecology blog)
