             Quilting Workshops for 2015

Here are a list of workshops that are being offered  by our guild. 

Cost to guild members for most classes is $20 unless otherwise stated.  (Non-members pay $5 more.)   Please note that unless otherwise mentioned all of these classes are suitable for beginning quilters as well as those with more experience who wish to review or explore a new technique.

Usually classes will be held at St. Columba Church, unless otherwise indicated. Door opens at one half hour before class starts and usually runs until 3:30. 
Be prepared to start class by class time.
Check when registering, to verify. Bring your lunch, and any amenities for your comfort            ( cushion, light,etc).

2015 Doris Mowry  Workshops
This year the Doris Mowry committee is pleased to present a number of workshops by renowned Canadian Quilter, Elaine Quehl
Elaine Quehl is a quilt artist, teacher, and fabric dyer/designer who is best known for her dramatic and colourful nature-themed art quilts featuring luscious foliage (particularly hosta leaves), flowers and trees. Elaine's work has been juried into, and selected for awards at, numerous international and national exhibits, and has been widely published. Her recent accomplishments include being chosen as one of 21 artists featured in the book Art Quilt Portfolio: Natural World by Lark Books in 2012, and receiving a First-Place award in the Art-Naturescapes category at the International Quilt Association's annual juried and judged show in Houston, Texas in 2013. Elaine's will also be releasing her first line of commercial fabric through Northcott Fabrics in September 2014.

Priority is given to MPQ Guild members until 1 Mar 2015, then our Sister Guilds will be invited to register for workshops if there are any spots not filled. The rest of the spots not filled will be opened for registration to the public at the Quilt Show.
