Digital Media and Learning Portfolio

I was born and raised in San Francisco’s Sunset District and currently reside in The North Beach area. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television with an emphasis in “Audio Production.” From that experience, I have interned and worked in professional studios, working on live sports broadcast for the Oakland A’s professional baseball team and California Bears college basketball team. I have also done work for audio for video games and hotel audio/visual needs.

By coincidence, I started my educational work and graduate school at the same time. I attended the University of San Francisco for graduate school and took part in The Digital Media and Learning (DML) Program. I have taught educational DJing (Disk Jockeying) at various educational settings such as youth centers, public school settings, and college environments.

Currently, I am working at as a Academy/Pathway Coordinator at Galileo Academy of Science and Technology high school in San Francisco. As a coordinator, I support all academy/pathway students and teachers daily to ensure student achievement and Academy/Pathway success. I perform an array of duties from inputing updates on school website on Wordpress, organizing student activities and projects from PSAs to podcast, to checking-in with students to further nurture learning environments. The Academy/Pathway program itself consist of specific career driven classes such as The Health Academy (GHA), Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AOHT), Digital Media Arts Pathways and more. Each Academy/Pathway teacher has various needs in support so I make myself available when needed. In doing so, I use my expertise and skills in student engagement, technology tools, and organization skills to help ensure students and teachers are fully supported.
