During the course of 2012 and 2013, WRI is building a library of commissioned case studies documenting key aspects of the development and management of countries’ national GHG inventory systems. This series, written by national inventory practitioners, focuses on highlighting the human resource, institutional, information and technology, and financial capacities associated with and necessary for national GHG inventory systems.
In order to provide guidance to case study authors, detailed templates for the initial set of topics were developed. These are available in the overview document below. These templates include an extensive, though not exhaustive, set of questions related to the capacity elements critical to a country’s national GHG inventory system, as well as lessons learned, challenges, good practices, and country recommendations. Additional topic areas will be explored in the coming months and WRI invites practitioners interested in sharing their country's experience to contact us.
