Welcome to the Manufacturing Outreach Module developed by the Nano-M3 Design Lab at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  This website is intended for teachers, educators and makers who are interested in inspiring the next generation of students to develop careers centered on advanced manufacturing. This website is also a portal to download various files associated with the educational modules that were developed.

Three modules were developed, aimed at undergraduate engineering students. These Undergraduate Manufacturing Modules (Micromachining, Electrospinning, and E-Jet Printing) encompass advanced manufacturing currently pursued in the laboratory setting.

In addition, Middle School Manufacturing Modules were also developed. These modules educate middle school students about manufacturing with the aid of Legos. The Lego-based modules encompass additive manufacturing, subtractive manufacturing, and metrology. You will find information about how to fabricate the Lego machine tools, and see the presentation given to students in the Update New York area.
