I am currently PostDoc Researcher at the Hasso-Plattner Institute (Chair of Algorithm Engineering), University of Potsdam, Germany, within the project Virtual Compressor (principal investigator: Prof. Dr. Tobias Friedrich), funded by Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB) and Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB). The research project aims at studying and implementing efficient time series models and optimization algorithms for data related to turbomachineries and their physical substitute models. The partner company of the project is Industrial Analytics, based in Berlin. I have obtained my Master's degree in Statistics and Decision Sciences and my Ph.D degree in Methodological Statistics at the Department of Statistical Sciences, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, both under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Battaglia. My research interests include the application of evolutionary computation methods to statistical problems, the analysis of time series, computational statistics, Bayesian inference. manuel dot rizzo2806 at gmail dot com Chair of Algorithm Engineering, Office A-1.11 Hasso-Plattner Institute Prof.-Dr.-Helmert-Straße 2-3 14482 Potsdam, Germany |
