MERCI, MERCI !

“We searched for a vacation
in an unkonown destination
and travelled by train to
La Charité sur Loire.

A town of plenty pianos and books,
the people a so charming and gave us good looks.

Effervescent Ira, so tireless and kind,
the sort of hostess is a pleasure to find !

And hooray for Henry a gentleman and scholar,
looking so smart in cravate and collar !

I’m so glad we came here to La Charité,
with lively Ira and charming Henry

the people are friendly, hospitable and chic
We ate, slept and laughed for almost a week.

The house by the river had such character and style,
it felt good to stay and rest for a while

God now surely brought us to this place,
to get away from the busy rat race.

People here are different you see
life seems more charming in La Charité

The beauty of the river envelops a church

I breathe the air and let life flow free !”
