Re-Certification for Junior Officials

Every junior official must be re-certified to officiate each year.  Returning junior officials must do the following:
  • ALL returning junior officials must attend at least the last 2 hours of the teen/player official clinic.  New youth rules will be covered in the US Lacrosse Interpreters’ presentation.  Following this, all junior officials will take the 2017 Youth Rules Test

As a returning official, you are only required to attend the LAST two hours of the class but are welcome to attend the entire 5-hour session.

Other requirements for Junior Official re-certification:
  • All officials need to be seen on the field before they are certified to officiate games.  This assures us that the official will do a good job.
    • Blow the whistle at one of the on-field training sessions.
    • You must pre-register for the training clinic by completing the form below 
    • Pay $15 annual dues to MWLOA.  This cost covers:
      • A US Lacrosse rulebook
      • Other printed/class materials
    •  If you will need a new uniform shirt, it will cost an additional $10.  Please notify us ASAP if you will need a new shirt - and specify size!
A check for $15 can be made out to MWLOA and brought to the training session.
