2021 Required Background Check Information

The Maine Principals' Association has updated its policy regarding background checks and sports officials.  For the 2020 girls' lacrosse season, all officials must show that they have passed the Maine Criminal History Record Check (CHRC).  The US Lacrosse NSCI will no longer be accepted. It is imperative that all returning officials provide a copy of their CHRC clearance to MWLOA Secretary, Rebecca Tanous, prior to the 2021 season's start.

You will not be assigned games until you have shown proof that you have CHRC clearance.

The Maine CHRC background check is the same process as the Maine Department of Education uses for all school employees.  Please note that it takes approximately 12-weeks from fingerprints to the receipt of your CHRC card.

To schedule an appointment to have your fingerprints taken, please go to the following website: IndentoGO.
  • Click on Maine.

    • Schedule an appointment to have your fingerprints taken (Maine State Troopers take the fingerprints)
