State Meet 2016.
Maine South's lone representative had a successful weekend down in Charleston!
Jr Reese Jordan became only the second Maine South athlete in school history to claim All-State in the 1600 meter run, finishing 7th. ( Kyle Hannon, 6th place 2009)
(6) athletes were named All Conference for 2016.

Sr Brian Sodaro. 3rd 3200 meter
So Fotis Kokosoulis. 3rd pole vault, 4x1, 4x2 relays
Sr Nick Sajenko. 3rd 100 M, 4x1, 4x2 relays
Jr Liam Pittges. 3rd 300 IM hurdles, 4x1, 4x4 relays
Jr Emmit Zima. 3rd discus, 4th shot put
Junior Reese Jordan was the sole State qualifier out of a very difficult Sectional. Reese will represent Maine South and compete in the 1600 meter run at the State meet held at the Eastern Illinois Campus.
Many of our athletes had season and career PR's.
Sr Nick Sajenko was 3rd in the 100 meter and missed qualifying by 1 one-hundredth of a second!
Sr Brian Sodaro, fighting back from an injury indoors, finished 5th posting the #9 fastest 3200 meter in Maine South history.
Jr Liam Pittges posted the #4 Maine South time while finishing 7th in the 300 meter IM hurdles.
Jr Emmitt Zima finished 5th in a discus PR 136'8.5"
(3) frosh competed. Brian Brown in the long jump, high jump and high hurdles. Connor Alcock in the 400 meter. And Ryan Anderson in the triple jump. Ryan jumped 40'2" to set a new all time Frosh record. Looking forward to seeing these guys develop.!!
