There are nine Series of Teachings. The First Four are presented here in an Order that will allow a planned advance. Non-form is to be separated from form even when associated with form. No-thought is not to think even when involved in thought. Non-abiding is the original nature of man. Huineng Welcome to the Chan and Dao Seminary Teachings I can say no more as a welcome than the great bard, who decared: If we offend, it is with our good will. That you should think, we come not to offend, But with good will. To show our simple skill, That is the true beginning of our end. Consider then we come but in despite. We do not come as minding to contest you, Our true intent is. All for your delight We are not here.
