I am the Middle East and Islamic Librarian at the Ohio State University Library 's Language and Area Studies. I serve on numerous library and university committees and task forces. I am an active member of professional associations, including the American Library Association. I have authored numerous library publications and served on an editorial board of a professional peer-reviewed journal. My monograph on Resource Description and Access was published in 2013 by ALA Editions. As time permits, I teach graduate level courses at Kent State University's School of Library and Information Science. For the past three years, I have been serving on the Fulbright Commission's Review Committee. I enjoy travel, hiking and Vivaldi. AND ADAM PLAYING MUSIC

The University Libraries Distinguished Scholar Award from CFBRR 2023. Magda’s scholarship has received global recognition. Among her accomplishments are two Fulbright Grants, three ALCTS awards, and the Ross Atkinson Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Library Association (ALA).
