Library Friends are energetic individuals who work together as an independent, nonprofit group to provide volunteer services and raise money to support their neighborhood Library. Money that is collected through book sales and other fund raising events is donated to the Public Library and is used by the Library to purchase books, computer equipment, and materials for programming events, such as the Summer Reading Program.
· Joining a Friends group is a fun way to benefit your community and to make new friends.
· Friends volunteers raise their community’s awareness and enthusiasm about the Library.
· Funding efforts and volunteer work provided by Friends enhance the Library’s services to the community.
· Friends Groups make important contributions which ensure the vitality of Library programs.
Our three branches locations have established separate Friends groups, whose members support their activities, programs, and initiatives for their neighborhood branch location and plan special activities and publications for their Friends group.
Each group meets once a month, 6:30pm. Please contact or visit your local branch location for membership information:
