Gardening Tips

If you haven't already done so, now is the time to cut back those grasses and remains of last year's perennials.  Signs of spring are starting to pop up.  It's also time to think about what plants need to be divided or moved.  Spring is the best time to divide most plants .... if you have too many, pass them on to friends or perhaps the Marshall Library plant sale on May 17th.

If you haven't started your vegetable seeds, it's not too late to start them indoors!  Lights and a heat mat work wonderfully.  Questions on seed starting?  send us an email at Madison.county.gardens@gmail.com.
