Hardy male, deciduous winterberry cultivar is a dwarf, upright, rounded, slow-growing shrub
with dark green leaves.
Height: 3-6 feet with a spread of 4-8 feet
Adaptable to both light and heavy soils, but prefers moist, acidic, organic soils. Good tolerance for wet conditions (the species is native to swampy areas of Eastern North America). Susceptible to chlorosis in high pH (alkaline) soils.
Inconspicuous white blooms in June to July.
Low maintenance. Prune to shape in early spring before new growth begins.
