A slow growing, broadleaf evergreen holly with shiny, lustrous dark green leaves
and an upright-rounded habit. Spineless.
Height 3-4 ft x spread 3-4 ft.
Full sun to part shade.
Greenish-white blooms in May to June are relatively inconspicuous.
If pollinated, female flowers give way to pea-sized, jet black, berry-like drupes (inkberries) which mature in early fall and persist throughout winter to early spring unless consumed by local bird populations.
Good winter interest. Attracts birds. Low maintenance.
