Phase 2 of the Forest Farming demonstration garden was completed in October. The class, led by Zev Friedman of Living Systems Designs, was enjoyed by his students.
Students learned the basics of permaculture and forest agriculture, as well as how to design and build a forest farm garden on their own property. Basic concepts were reinforced as they planted phase 2 plants at the Marshall Library demonstration garden. Plants including persimmon, strawberries, sochan and grapes were included.
Phase 3 is scheduled to be held September 29, 2013. Contact Jennifer Flynn at email@example.com. Cost is $60 before September 6th, and $75 after that date.
