All events require 4 participants.
Finding Fauna (Biology)
After a powerful storm, many animals and plants have been displaced to foreign habitats. Your team has been hired by the Mayor of MSEO to help these species find their native habitats! In this event, your team will work together to complete a series of interactive questions to ensure each species's survival.
Brave the Elements (Chemistry)
Your group has crashed on a peculiar island and you aren’t sure what to do. You don’t know how you got there and you definitely don’t know how you’ll make it out. Will you decide to brave the elements and use them to your advantage? Will YOU be the ones who make it out alive?
Solve to Survive! (Math)
In this event, math isn't just homework but what your life depends on! Compete in teams of four to solve a variety of survival-themed math problems and be awarded points for correct and well-communicated answers.
Bridge to Safety (Engineering)
Your group was on a fall camping trip in the woods when a big hurricane came in. You are now stranded and must construct a bridge out of the limited materials nearby to cross a large, free-flowing river and find the nearest town. To be safe, you want to construct a bridge that will be capable of supporting your weights for as long as possible. Can you “walk-the-walk” and cross safely?
Maze Runner (Technology)
Can you create an unstoppable robot? Can you create a maze no robot can complete? WELL, this is your chance to prove that you can create both the unstoppable weapon and unstoppable shield with your programming skills.
Against All Odds (General)
Free-falling 30 000 feet from an airplane? Stuck stranded on an island? Find yourself lost at sea? Explore extreme survival scenarios with this event as you solve your way through puzzles, riddles, and more!
An Amazon Apocalypse (Biology)
Your team and others are on a research expedition in the Amazon to find a cure for a rare disease. Unfortunately, a storm hits. All that remains are some research equipment, a first aid kit, and a device to send a SOS. You must work together to survive, and escape the Amazon the fastest!
Survival of the Smartest (Chemistry)
The island provides an abundance of food, and survivors are frantically stuffing their stomachs so they don’t starve. But a few days later, some begin falling ill. Thankfully, one smart chemist wrote a medical log of what everyone ate every day. Can you correctly identify what pairs of foods shouldn’t be eaten with each other?
Calculate for Survival (Math)
You are stranded on an island with few resources to spare. While stuck, your mathematical knowledge will be tested as you encounter dozens of problems on day-to-day survival. Your answers will lead to the depletion or replenishment of your supplies. Do you have enough resources to survive?
Cast Away (Engineering)
You and your friends have been stuck on an uncharted island for a month. However, because of COVID-19 concerns, you all decide it’s time to leave. Due to social distancing protocol, you must each build a separate raft. Are you able to build a raft that’s strong enough to carry you and your supplies?
Capture the Flag (Technology)
Interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity or hacking? Delve into some fascinating encryption, steganography, and tech trivia in this survival-themed Capture-the-Flag event! Code you be the fastest team to find the hidden messages?
Plane Crash Catastrophe (General)
With the COVID-19 pandemic ended, you decide to go on a vacation to the Bahamas! Unfortunately, a fire in the engine causes your plane to crash in the forest on a deserted island! Work through these scientific challenges based on math, chemistry, physics, and logic to survive until you are rescued!
