About Cayce

Cayce is the sole translator, writer, photographer, designer and coder for This is NOT Greatest Site.  A surplus of jobs and a paucity of time!  Cayce also maintains The Blog-Tick Phenomenon, This is NOT Greatest Site's companion blog.

In real life, Cayce is a professional freelance translator based in Tokyo, Japan, where radiation is rad and earthquakes rock your world.  Cayce has also worked in the music and energy industries, as a propagandist, spokesmodel, social networking coordinator, starving indie rocker who goes drinking till dawn on weeknights, and hacker/slasher of poorly written sentences.  In that nonexistent thing called "spare time," Cayce enjoys making fish cakes, putting spoons in jacket lapels, reading fanfiction written by strangers on the internet about the fantasy sexploits of real-life biffles, and riding the Yamanote line around and around in a circle (the circle has an empty sound.)

Cayce also loves getting emails from NGS readers around the world!  If you have any questions or comments about the website or anything else, please feel free to email. Inquiries should be directed to themadaristocrat at gmail (by not spelling out the email address directly, we’re confusing the spambots.)

 About Kame

For those of you who have been following This is Not Greatest Site since the beginning, you may recall that Kame was the original website designer, or, in hokey 90's terms, the original webmistress.  She quit the webmistress position at the end of 2009, and Cayce has been managing the site largely independently since that time.

Why did Kame quit, you ask?  The short answer is, the Silicon Valley hotshots gave her an offer she couldn't refuse.  Now she's located in the Bay Area, where she occasionally samples Jack Dorsey's curated whiskey collection, among other duties...and now those duties include a return to the NGS team as one of our international correspondents! From time to time, you'll be seeing articles written by her here on This is NOT Greatest Site and on our companion blog, The Blog-Tick Phenomenon.
