What's the Lynhaven Citizens Association?

The Lynhaven Citizen Association (LCA) is the longest continuously running community association in Alexandria. Any dues-paying resident of Lynhaven is eligible to be a member of the Citizens Association.

Membership in the Citizens Association has many benefits. The Association provides a link to our neighbors, to city officials, and to City services like Cora Kelly Elementary School and the Alexandria Police Department. The Civic Association also provides service to the community by organizing litter cleanups, National Night Out gatherings, and giving special assistance to families in need in our neighborhood.

Dues are only $5.00 per household per year, and the Civic Association meets once a month at Cora Kelly Recreation Center. At community meetings, we plan events and discuss issues of interest to the community such as crime, code enforcement, city services, and new road, business, and housing developments that affect our neighborhood. Representatives of the City Government and our Community Police Liaison Officers are active participants who are available to hear any community concerns at each meeting. We also have guest speakers such as State Delegates and City Council members, and each December have an annual anniversary party.
