Small Farm? Small Cattle!

Lyndcroft Dexters breeds small black (well, mostly - we've had some dun calves too) Dexter cattle, ideal for small farms and people who are unsure of large mainstream cattle breeds. We are centrally located at Woodside in the scenic Adelaide Hills, not far from the South Eastern Freeway Hahndorf exit. 

Lyndcroft is a member of the Dexter Cattle Australia SA Promotion Group.

FOR SALE:

Purebred Dexter cows, bulls, heifers and steers for sale, available as pedigreed cattle registered with Dexter Cattle Australia Inc or unregistered. Also some Dexter cross Speckle Park available.

Our cattle provide beef or milk for the family, and the small size of the bulls makes them ideal to cross with heifers from larger breeds to help reduce the likelihood of calving problems - the crossbred Dexter calves grow out well. 

We breed animals free from the chondrodysplasia gene, and have recently introduced the polled gene into our herd so although most of our cattle are genetically horned, numbers of polled animals should increase.
