|LYNBROOK SCHOOL BUDGET PASSES|
| Voters in the Lynbrook Union Free School District approved the 2013-2014 proposed budget of $76,192,356 by a vote of 901 to 431.|
Proposition 2 on the ballot, authorizing the District to expend $600,000 from the Technology Replacement Fund to replace outdated switches, expand switch infrastructure, increase wireless infrastructure, provide additional server infrastructure, and to provide off-site disaster recovery at Nassau BOCES passed by a vote of 951 to 342.
Proposition 3, authorizing the expenditure of $1,391,000 from the Capital Reserve Fund and the Renovation and Improvement of Facilities Reserve Fund to replace the track, tennis courts, gym bleachers, two interior doors and one exterior door at South Middle, as well as the gym bleachers at North Middle, passed by a vote of 864 to 380.
Incumbent William Belmont, who ran unopposed for one seat on the Board of Education, was re-elected with 706 votes. Heather Hanson, who ran against incumbent William Kayen, won by a vote of 719 to 521.
