PUBLIC POLICY STUDY GROUPS

ISSUES WE SUPPORT
The issues we study originate at the National, State, or Local League level and involve member and public meetings. Once member consensus has been reached on an issue, we continue our work by advocating our position with presentations to elected officials.  In 2011 LWV-KA participated in a statewide study, Texas Water Resources as a Commodity. Below you will find links to the presentations made at the public forums and our consensus responses.

For information on issues on which the League has reached consensus and is now in the advocacy stage, we encourage you to get involved.  For more details about the issues and action alerts supported and organized by the League, go to the Texas LWV site:  http://www.lwvtexas.org/issuesWeSupport.php
