Saturday, September 17, Candidates for U.S. Representative District 21, Texas Senate District 24, Texas House District 53, State Board of Education Region 5, and Fourth Court of Appeals, Place 6
will participate in a League of Women Voters-Hill Country Candidates Forum in rooms J&K at the Dietert Center, 10:00 A.M.-12:30 Noon. This forum will be somewhat different than previously experienced. We are calling it a Round Robin Question and Answer. While the audience is seated at round tables throughout the forum the candidate will rotate to a different table at timed intervals. Citizens will be encouraged to bring questions to ask of the candidates. Rules of civil discourse will be posted to encourage positive and open conversation. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages citizens to be informed and active in government. Being nonpartisan means that the League does not support any political party or candidate. The League looks forward to hosting this forum for local citizens. The forum is free and open to the public.
NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY IS SEPTEMBER 27. The League will have various sites in the community to register voters on that date and prior to October 11, the last date to register in order to vote in the November 8 General Election.
Your Vote Matters!
