Afternoon visit to Tullie HouseMuseum Carlisle

There will be a Curatorial talk in the lecture theatre followed by free time to look at the Pre-Raphaelite Art. The Special Exhibitions Gallery at this time will feature work by Martin Greenland, a 2006 first prize winner of John Moores who was born in Yorkshire and now lives in the Lake District. There will be time to look at the permanent displays at the Museum.

Summer Day Outing

 The Hepworth Gallery Wakefield(with coffee and lunch).

Afternoon visit to Nostell Priory.

We shall have coffee, lunch and a guided tour at the award-winning Hepworth Gallery. In the afternoon we will visit nearby Nostell Priory, the home of the Winn family for over 300 years, set in 300 acres of garden and parkland. It has a wonderful collection of Chippendale furniture and paintings by Brueghel, Hogarth and Kauffman.

British Tour

Exploring Hampshire – its History and Art.

Based in Winchester.

We stay 4 nights in a hotel on the outskirts of Winchester. We have guided tours of the city and the cathedral, Petworth House, Osborne House on the Isle of Wight and Hinton Ampner. We visit Blenheim Palace on the downward journey and see Wightwick Manor on the return.

The Palaces and Art of Bologna, Ravenna, Mantova and Ferrara. We stay five nights in a hotel in Bologna from where a professional guide will accompany us to see these beautiful Italian towns and their treasures.
