Junior Program’s New Guidelines June 9 2020

NB: Two registration times for registration fee payment at the clubhouse- CHANGE: Tuesday morning, June 16th 1-3 p.m. and June 17th from 6 to 82 either mail in your payment or drop it in the box outside the clubhouse door before June 17th
  1. starting date for lessons is June 29th
  2. only 4 juniors per court
  3. Lessons every second day
  4. no touching tennis balls by the Juniors
  5. lessons will be strictly led by the coach & limit many of the activities
  6. racquets may be borrowed only through the coach
  7. Juniors playing on the courts in the afternoon must bring their own balls
  8. juniors are encouraged to come no sooner than 10 minutes before their lesson time
  9. Wipes and hand sanitizer will be available at all times on the deck table
  10. no social time inside the clubhouse or fun days
  11. cans of balls will be for sale at the clubhouse for $5 when instructors
  12. freezies and drinks will be sold one person at a time in the clubhouse
  13. If Tennis Nova Scotia create new guidelines during the summer, we will make further adjustments

Adult memberships may be paid anytime and can be left in the box outside the clubhouse. Do not hurry. The Club will email a registration form for those new members to fill out and for others to review the fee structure.

Tennis Nova Scotia tracking system implementation at the LTC:

a book is located outside the clubhouse near the table to sign when you come to the court to play where players must record the date, time and players’ names. At this time, only the main gate will be opened where players will find the guideline information and access to the "sign in" procedure.

Prior to Play: Arrive at the courts no more than 10 minutes before play

While Playing: Singles and Doubles Play is acceptable

  • ïAll communication in doubles should be through signals, not verbally
  • ïRemain at least 2 meters apart within social distancing guidelines and do not make any physical contact with your partner or opponent
  • ïEach player/team must bring their own can of balls to be marked and not picked up by their opponent(s)
  • ïWhen changing ends, move in a clockwise manner as to avoid passing by your opponent(s)

After Play: Leave the courts immediately after play
