Just a small brief...
I'm a medical device enthusiast, engineer and entrepreneur. I hold a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico and a MScE from in Bioengineering Innovation and Design from the Johns Hopkins University CBID-BME department. I'm currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
I've also worked as a Research Fellow at MIT's Research Laboratory of Electronics, under the Madrid-MIT M+Visión theme, as well as an application engineer for National Instruments Inc., and as R&D specialist for Alandra Medical Inc.
I've explored the startup world by co-founding Salveo Vascular (dedicated to provide solutions to address Catheter Related Blood Stream Infections) and Innovostics (dedicated to provide POC diagnostics in fever diagnosis at the base of the pyramid).
I'm a believer of effective Academia + Research + Industry collaborations, to accelerate idea-to-bench, bench-to-bedside, and bedside-to-market in the continuum of medical device and drug development design.
