Currently I am a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, and a member of the Grupo Interdisciplinar de Sistemas Complejos (GISC).

My main interest is the multidisciplinary study of complex systems and its application to social and biological systems in the real world.

My initial training was in physics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and I did my PhD studying cosmological numerical simulations at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Afterwards I got a postdoctoral fellowship to work on evolutionary game theory at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and later at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC-CNR),
